The island of Lesvos is a forest of olive trees and pine trees. A place of abundant nature beauty, where pine trees flourish in the northwest in contrast to the southeast, where the olive grove is dominant The mild Mediterranean climate and the perfect weather conditions in combination with the virgin wilderness with its rough mountainous terrain and its intense changes have led to the predomination of olive cultivation

The olive groves of Lesvos consists of about 11 million olive trees of different varieties. The main variety of olives, which is cultivated in our area, is the “Kolovi” and covers 70% of the olive grove of the island. In a smaller amount, we have the “Adramittiani” variety from Asian Minor and the “Ladolia”.

Our isolated olive grove is located at altitude of 450 metres. Here, you mainly find the Kolovi olive along with some adramittianes and wild olive trees. The terrain is rough and uneven with hard to reach paths and many terraces. Our organic olive grove is considered an individual ecosystem, there is minor input and output and most of the elements are recycled in the olive grove, and ensuring sustainability. It may be a lot of work, but the wild beauty of nature makes up for it.
